Who we are
For many years, the Papagiannakis family has been exclusively involved in the production of extra virgin olive oil, honey and tsikoudia.
It all started with the grandfather of the Papagiannakis brothers, who today have taken over the reins of the family business, taking advantage of the wealth he had in olive trees, he decided to develop it by buying the olive mill in his birthplace that exists today after so many years, at the same time, in addition to olives, he dealt with the production of tsikoudia in the cauldron he owned.
Later, the continuation came from Emmanuel Papagiannakis, father of the brothers.
So since he was a small child, the father has been involved in the agricultural work, the fields, the rakokazano and the oil mill of his family with the guidance of his father. In the 1990s he began to invest and expand the number of olive trees in his possession and at the same time passed on his knowledge and love for the land to his sons Antonis and Giannis.
The next generation that came to take over, are the Papagiannaki brothers who have taken over the reins today.
In the early 2000's they took over the properties and their family business by expanding their properties into olive groves and renovating the factory, adding and equipping with the appropriate state-of-the-art machinery. They modernize and maintain their grandfather's rakokazano but at the same time turn to beekeeping, buying their first bees. So we come to today with the Papagiannaki brothers having expanded both in the field of extra virgin olive oil production, beekeeping and also in the production of tsikoudia from purely their own production, with a lot of effort and passion as they learned from the older ones with respect to the knowledge that
they were passed on with love by their father from small children, and using modern technology as a weapon, they improve the quality of their crops and products every day.
Extra virgin olive oil and honey are a wonderful gift of life, which protects against diseases, gives health, and complements the Mediterranean diet in the best way. That's why we produce our products in the purest and traditional ways, exactly as our ancestors showed us, so that none of the nutrients and their pure taste are lost.
The facilities we have are built around our vision for the development and modernization of the production process.
Oil mill: We have a fully modernized oil mill with the latest cold pressing technology machines with a three-phase decanter where the kneading takes place at 29°C.
Beekeeping: We have open lands all over Crete, so we can move our beehives according to the season and weather conditions to achieve the most efficient collection of herbs-flavors from our bees. Also in our facilities we have set up a modern standardization and storage line, specially designed so that the nutrients do not deteriorate.
Boiler: We maintain the boiler, equipped with one of the best boilers on the market but also with all kinds of mechanical support to facilitate the production process and to achieve the best quality in the final product every time
